Not Shady, it’s me, Cuddles.  I’m back in business, at least, until I forget to blog again.  Well it’s not like things have been that interesting that I need to tell you about them.  Lot’s of good manga releases in the past few months, right?  Especially from our good friends Yen Press!  The highlights of the new manga include Blood+ Adagio 2, Maximum Ride 2, Soul Eater 1, and many more.  If you like manga, you should keep up with these websites, you learn stuff all the time.  Also due out this November is the Fullmetal Alchemist volume 21 and Shinobi Life 3.

And there are just TONS of companies that make manga that will be releasing new stuff this month.  You know, your best bet is to keep checking your local Barnes & Noble and Borders each month.   Also, the best news of all, Blood+ Part 2 Collector’s Boxset is now out!  I. . . hate to admit but. . . I don’t yet own it. . . Major shameage. . . But please, everyone else, go buy em up and support that amazing series!  I will get it when I can and all the collecterness that’s found within!  Plus it’d just be nice to own the rest of the dubbed episodes on DVD since they’re so slow with the single DVD releases. . .

As for Japan’s new stuff. . . I don’t know, and that’s the truth!  So my request for you is to give me links to anime blogs!  VERY UPDATED one’s!  With lot’s of pictures and fun things!  Please, they’re so fun to read and I can share the information with everyone else when I learn it!

Ah, this is another filler blog. . . Because. . . I can I guess.  Rain Rain RAIN!   Angela Aki will never stop being amazing, I can’t wait until she does some new music for me to get obssesed with yay!  I heard she was working on some song for some show but I have no real way of getting updates, I can’t understand her website very well /sob.

Okay anyways, I’m going to hit the Suncoast store tonight, the past few times it was all Death Note/Bleach/Naruto stupid crap like that but I have high hopes!  Perhaps they will have a Pokemon plushie that I will like or something!  C’mon, Suncoast don’t let me downnn!  They always have good anime DVD’s but they’re usually so expensive meh. . . Speaking of anime DVD’s, when the heck is Blood+ Part 2 going to come out!?  It would be soooo awesome if they would just release that already.  And while they’re at it, the fourth Blood+ DVD would be super duper seeing as I collect those and they were supposed to have released it a long time ago. . . Jerks.  The good news is that that freaky somewhat yaoi story with Haji is going to be released in America sometime soon, as I found out in the back of English Adagio.  While it’s my least favorite Blood+ manga, I still want it, it’s Blood+, nuff said.  Plus I have the Japanese version of it. . . Or is it Chinese. . . . Don’t remember and too lazy too look.

Speaking of Blood+, I found a ton of great icons at this community in LiveJournal and if you’re a fan of Blood+ I suggest checking this out http://community.livejournal.com/blood_plus/  I actually gave up after searching 400+ posts and I will return to it later, trust me, I will not let this go half unchecked!  But for now, this hero takes a rest. 

Ikasucon is coming up in just like. . . HOLY CRAP LIKE A WEEK OR TWO!  This is so soon, but I’m so excited, I hope they have lot’s of good stuff to buy.  Don’t worry dear ghosties, I’ll take lot’s of pictures for you to enjoy.  Well, let me correct, my mother who I am forcibly dragging along to this event for the first day because I am that mean will take lot’s of pictures for you to enjoy.  Oh and believe it or not, I think I might try the cosplay contest, I’m doing a gijinka Shaymin sky form and I THINK it qualifies. . . Hello my ghostlings, how are you all?  Hope your summer is super special and stuff.  I keep forgetting to blog, nothing to really blog about, my updates are severly inconsistent but whatever.  If real, living people read this, I might actually be concerned.  I haven’t really watched any new anime outside of the OVA for Dogs which was pretty kewl.  I recommend it but the first one was kinda boring ‘cuz it was about that old guy who’s name I will never remember. 

So anyhow, I’m not sure why I’m even updating now other than to say hey I’m still alive and something may happen here someday!  I definitely won’t be posting any blogs for the rest of this week, rest assured, I will be out camping with no internet.  I’m trying to finish up Max so I can say I’ve read all of Maximum Ride (Dunno if I mentioned that in the last post but just in case, yes I bought it).  Speaking of that series, Yen Plus (Yen+), the last chapter of MR was pretty awesome, the artist’s style is getting sooo good!  I wish it could come out more often so we could see it sooner.  Yen+ is probably the best manga magazine I’ve ever seen/had/subscribed too and I seriously recommend it by the way.  It’s kind of expensive but well worth it. 

Okay well I think that’s all I got.  I’m starting piano lessons today and I’m hoping to do well, of course I know it’s gonna take hard work and lot’s of it but as of right now I’m pretty sure I’ll like it.  I’ve tried some on my own and I liked it.  The teacher told me to get some songs on to a CD that I wanted to learn so I did.  Mostly Angela Aki of course because she is oh-so-amazing.  Cannot wait to be able to play, wish me luck, ghosts!

Wow, today was incredibly exhausting.  Probably the most exhausting day of all time (Other than the time I cosplayed as Saya for Gen Con and wore high heels the entire convention lD; ).  Why so exhausting?  Well my aunt bought 1,00o lbs of mulch for her landscaping and we got to shovel it all out of a truck in into a wheelbarrow, slowly but surely. . . However besides the fact that I feel dead tired, I do feel like I gained something from it.  What that something is I have yet to discover.  We had a garage sale at my aunt’s too and I sold some Pokemon stuff and ended up making $45!  First thing I’m gonna buy?  RISA CHIYA BY CHIZU HASHII!!!  Been meaning to get that FOREVER!  The rest is going into savings for the next convention.

But before that I messed around on my aunt’s On Demand thing.  I watched Tim & Eric Awesome Show! Great Job!  as well as some good ‘ole classic Scooby-Doo’s (Oh how I missed them!!).  And then, believe it not, I watched Code Geass. . . For the lulz of course.  And it was very, very amusing.  Nunabutt got kidnapped and Lulu had to go save her with his big bwother Suzy.  I lol’d. I tried to watch some Case Closed too but I just wasn’t in the mood today.  Still, Case Closed is always a classic!

 Oh, you thought I might actually update with something important?  Hahahaha, yeah right, nice try ghosts, I’m a nonsense kind of cat!  And basically this is the end of this blog, I just blahblah’d and you can read it or not read.  Omg, what am I saying?  NO ONE reads this to begin with lD  Still, I can be optimistic!

FINALLY!  Something anime/Japanese related I can dicuss!  And I assume this is going to be a pretty long post, I don’t know, let’s just get going and see what happens. 

So today I went to the Cherry Blossom Festival starting a noon, cosplay-clad and all hyped up.  We arrived a few minutes before noon which was the time the whole thing got started.  First thing I did was go “OMG WIN 8D ” because I saw pretty, pink, Cherry-Blossom thingies hanging on the lamps and people walking around.  Like this:

Then I walked some and met up with my geek buddies who were doing something goldfish-related.  I dun really care about the feesh.  I have frogs now my ghosts.  Well anways, I said waddup and then we went to an information booth to buy two shirts at the good deal of $10 for both!  Will be wearing these for the next two days at school.  I love them a lot because they have Japanese writing on them which is an instant win.  Then in my excitment we got inside the library building (where this whole shindig was haznin) only to find that the opening ceremony was starting (Aka, people blah-blahing and a big crowd, blech)

My main plan was to buy a bonsai tree because I heard about it beforehand and I wanted to add it to my exotic plant collection but they were $20 and most of the one’s they had weren’t for sale.  I gotta get the most perfect one.  I do love bonsai trees though, some of them are really cool for serz.  Here’s the display thing:

There was some more cool stuff too, like an origami guy, an origami girl, uh. . . Well origami yeah lD  But my main interest was to check out the Anime Drawing Contest room.  Which was where our anime club meets usually so no big deal, I’ve seen it before lulz.  I explored until the starting time at 1 in which I returned with art supplies and a ramune, ready to go!  There were many tables set up in the room much like this one:

Bleh, Fruit’s Basket playing in the background, I dun like that at all.  But I put on my headphones to listen to the amazing Angela Aki and began attempting to work.  I had four hours to attempt to create something win-worthy.  I sat next to my friends and as they all began quickly working I was stuck, idealess, inspirationless, even though I had spent a good time before the festival finding inspiration and motivation on dA.  I was going to draw Arceus but I failed that.  I tried Cresselia, failed that.  Tried Glaceon, failed that.  Tried Torchic, failed that.  Tried Charmander, failed that.  So I sat, frusterated, an hour and a half into the contest, not knowing what I was going to do, considered quitting once.  Then some random, annoying animu fangirls ran over “DRAW A MUDKIP”, they weren’t speaking to me, but I took the idea.  Feeling hopeless I drew that Mudkip puking water lD  Then as I colored, it became a green energy BEAMUUU!  I had fun and I had the thought in my head ‘WHOCARESIFIWINTHISISFUN’.  Naturally we all made Mudkip jokes because let’s face it, i herd u liek them.  Courtley finished her’s first and it looked super.  Then Ducky, then little Ducky sibling.  I begged my mom to come down so I wouldn’t be lonely.  Then I ended up forcing her to draw. . . She ended up drawing a Purugly and it was actually really good.  I’d show you a pic but I don’t have one so here’s me working on fails instead (And my hair looks like crap because of the hairspray and because it was a loooong day):

Check out the necessities of the table, ramune, Ed, MP3 player, other crap sprawled all over the table which annoyed Courtley.  The Cherrim belongs to Ducky sibling, but I guess it was nice to have it there?  I should have brought my dang Shisa, I love those things, they make me feel speshul.  But anyhow, in time I finished my barfing Kip with not much effort put into it because I wanted to be done and I wanted to have something.  I had about 20 minutes left until the end of the contest so I went back outside to see what was happening. . . And this was it basically:

We went back to the hall a few minutes before 4:30 (The time they announced the winners of the drawing contest) and they had us all cooped up in a small hallway, waiting to reenter the room and find out the results.  Ducky, Courtley, and I then broke out in a beautiful chorus of the first Pokemon theme, hoping we would get more people to join in and guess what?  It worked, almost the whole hallway was singing Pokemon with us and it felt really good.  I think they got tired of us cuz after that they let us in the room.  A nice lady I know blah-blahed and then the guy that announced the winners got up and well. . . announced winners!  For each age group and for fanart and original. 

When it finally came to me and my friend’s division, we held our breath.  First place for fanart. . . ME!  Can you believe it?  My puking Mudkip won first place!  I was like “nowai.”  And first place for original. . . COURTLEY!  I believe that, she’s good.  I’d like to show you the pic of her when she was coming back from recieving her prize cuz she made this epic pose that my mom actually managed to get a pic of but I know she wouldn’t like it, too bad .I wish I had gotten a picture of her piece for this blog but I wasn’t thinking clearly.  They’re going to be on display in this one place so I’ll try to get a picture of it for you ghosts later.  But I do have my fail, and seriously, I can’t believe this crap won first prize:

After that it was pretty mellow, I got a lot of random congratulations in both English and Japanese from random people but we basically just left.  I got yet another ramune because I needed it.  I got my mom’s Purugly pic because I love it (I’ll get a picture of that later too) and I’m going to put it on my practically full walls.  I was seriously so surprised she actually entered, she was embarrassed about it for some reason, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

So there you have it, my day of CHERRY BLOSSOMS AND MUDKIPS.
